In 1989 Tim Skinner formed the first BWKS associated club in Tendring. The objective was to provide a Clacton based location for students who wished to practice Wado karate. The Clacton Club was originally at Clacton Leisure Centre from 1994, then Clacton County High, then Frinton First Aid Hall and now Frinton Tennis Club, Frinton-on-Sea.
The Club is now run by Nick and Steve both of whom have over 50 years experience of karate training.
TWK Karate Club is a club with a long tradition. For us, it's not all about serious karate training, children learn in safe environment and we have special fun lessons at Easter and Christmas.
We're always happy to welcome new members who are interested in joining the club. Many of the parents who initially brought their children now train in the same lessons. We pride ourselves on being the friendly karate club. The first lesson is free but if you prefer new students can come and watch a lesson from the sides.
